Pupil Premium Grant

What is Pupil Premium?

Each year the school is allocated additional funding from the Government known as the Pupil Premium Grant.  The Pupil Premium Grant is to enable school to close the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers, and to support children with parents in the armed forces.

How much is Pupil Premium

In 2018/2019 the funding allocated is £1320 per child of Primary Age.

Spending the Grant

Schools can spend the grant as they see fit, if it is to demonstrably improve the attainment of eligible pupils.  Schools do not need to spend an equal amount on each pupil, or fund interventions that benefit only eligible pupils.  However, the grant should not fund free school meals.

Further information about Pupil Premium funding can be found at http://www.theschoolrun.com/pupil-premium-explained
