Year 1 have enjoyed making African Art pictures. First they used Water Colours to make a beautiful sunset background and then added a silhouette of their favorite African animal.
All the children in Year 1 were excited to meet the chickens for the first time and enjoyed watching them roam around their new fantastic home.
This week in math, year 1 have been ordering numbers to 10 and then challenging themselves to find one more.
This week year 1 have been doing a Daily Dough Disco to improve their fine and gross motor skills to help with their writing.
Some of the year 1 children enjoyed a range of multi sports activities at Batley Sports Centre which promoted sports engagement and developed skills, healthy schools,community engagement, social interaction and healthy lifestyle
Year 1 have created some fantastic descriptive writing on African Animals by applying their knowledge of adjectives that they have recently learnt. Well done Year 1!
Year 1 had a fantastic trip to the Yorkshire wildlife park recently. They saw lots of African animals and learned more facts about these animals too.
We went on an autumn walk in science to learn about what has changed in autumn. They learn that in autumn the leaves start to fall and they have changed colour since the summer.
We have had fun recently learning and exploring rhyming words.
Year 1 have thoroughly enjoyed playing Rhyming Bingo, it’s lots of fun!
