Year 4 have been doing some fantastic practical Math work!
We did some brilliant Skeleton drawings with Mrs Wood.
Mrs Wood reported ‘ What a fantastic class of children. They all worked hard to draw a skeleton in proportion. They took great care and attention to detail showing a deeper understanding to their bodies and organs. Roll on next week…’
We had a fun lesson using our French skills to order food.
Year 4 enjoyed their Maths last term especially their practical work.
We learn’t some very important and valuable skills in swimming on how to save lives in water.
We had a fantastic day at The Allied Air Fore Memorial where they learn’t all about the WW1, WW2 and the RAF. The children were given the opportunity to view and explore the planes that had been used in the wars.
The children selected key details of the character descriptions and used them to create their own image of what the character might look like in the book.
Year 4 did a fantastic job sorting animals for science. The children had to decide if their animals were mammals, amphibians, reptiles, fish or birds.
Our budding Mathematicians participated in a whole class intervention which involved using a new resource for column addition.
Year 4 worked well in teams to give reasons for keeping the Lion Cub with Bertie. They also did a super job at peer assessing to improve their work.
The children have been enjoying getting hands on in their maths lessons recently. Maths can be fun!
The children have been working together to research Buddhism, using ICT equipment to aid their learning.
Year 4 have really enjoyed building kites. They experimented with a range of materials and shapes.
We have been using a range of representations to solve maths problems.
Year 4 have been doing brilliantly at their swimming lessons! Just Keep swimming guys!
