We had a great time taking part in our Reading Month Quiz where we also celebrated our competition winners!
The year four children came to read to the year two and even listened to the year two children reading! They had lots of conversations around their favourite books.
Children have been having turns reading and sharing their favourite books in Year two. We have been listening very carefully to each other.
To celebrate World Book Day, children swapped classes to read to each other. It was lovely to see the collaboration throughout school.
Have a look at our children dressed as their favourite characters, they all looked amazing!
To celebrate the day we carried out a parade of costumes in the hall, read with other children from different classes and held an assembly to celebrate the efforts of all!
Breakfast Club children were making the most of Reading Month by reading to each other during Breakfast Club.
“I love reading, reading and reading some more because I meet amazing people and interesting characters.”
“Reading is a way to let go of reality and enter a world of dreams and endless possibilities.”
Year 5 enjoyed listening to a story read by Mrs Akhtar.
