A huge thank you to all our grandparents who spent the afternoon in early years for National Grandparent Day.
Saplings used natural materials such as leaves, twigs, grass and pebbles to make clay faces.
Saplings have loved doing dough disco this week. The actions and play dough strengthen the muscles in our fingers to help with our letter formation and writing.
Our topic this term is ‘All about me’. As part of this topic, children need to identify different features of their face. We made play dough faces and used different materials to represent different features.
Our new starters enjoyed an outdoor session in our Forest School where they toasted marshmallows to make a Smore. This was the perfect opportunity for the children to meet with each other and establish relationships.
