Holiday Homework set by class teachers can be found on this class page. Also due to the uncertainty that Covid-19 brings, your child may find themselves having to learn from home due to closure of bubbles. If this is the case then all work set by the class teacher will be uploaded to this page.
If you need to contact me or send me any work my email address is isima.hussain1@kirkleeseducation.uk
This week your challenge is to take some family time and play a board game together. If you do not own a physical board game, you can find some on the play/app store. You could also find a template online or even create your own!
I would love to hear and see what games your family decide to play, so please feel free to share your photos with me via email: carltonnurtures@kirkleeseducation.uk
Philosophy for children is an enquiry based approach to open up children’s learning through the exploration of ideas. It gives children the possibility of seeing that their ideas have value, and that others have different ideas that have value too and it helps them to realise that they don’t always have to be right. It is a chance for children to speak and be heard without fear of getting an answer wrong as well as encouraging them to think outside the box. Therefore each week I will be setting you a challenge to complete with your children.
This weeks challenge is to look at the picture of the mountain together and ask your child what they think they would be able to hear, smell, feel and taste.
Ask them what they think is happening in the picture.
Ask them what emotions it makes them feel and why it makes them feel that way.
If your child would like to share what they thought with me then feel free to email me on hannah.wilson@kirkleeseducation.uk
Enjoy your discussions!
