We had a fantastic time exploring Stockheld Park for our last Year 1 school trip. We even had the whole place to ourselves!
Some of our children enjoyed taking part in pirate themed activities recently. We are impressed with their creativity.
We celebrated Earth Day by learning about items we can recycle. We then enjoyed a scavenger hunt outside and took part in some Forest Bathing where we had to feel the sun on our skin, the grass beneath us and listen to the sounds all around us.
One of our Shoots made their own milkshake following their set of instructions carefully. The end result looks amazing!
One of our shoots did a fantastic job at making a delicious Fruit Pizza. They look yummy!
We kicked off our Reading Month by celebrating world book day! The children dressed up as their favourite character and were challenged to be caught reading in a strange place. We are looking forward to celebrating reading throughout the rest of March.
We have had an amazing term covering a range of topics in all of our subjects. Our children have made amazing progress and settled in really well. I am so proud of them. Enjoy the festive holidays. From the Year 1 Team
We have been learning all about Africa and the Masai tribe. Look at our amazing writing all about Anansi the spider!
We worked hard to create our own Masai masks. They look amazing!
We celebrated Black History Month by creating African art.
In English, we have completed fantastic pieces of writing for Black History Month.
