We have been thinking about the value of Kindness during Anti-Bullying Week.
We have been participating in our weekly music session, learning how to write songs. We were inspired by The Lark Ascending.
We have been celebrating recent festivities.
We really enjoyed our visit to Eden Camp as part of our World War 2 topic. We have a fantastic time visiting all the Museum Huts.
Year 5 enjoyed their Olympian Mini Gym introduction through North Kirklees School Sport Partnership.

I have added some extra maths work which is available for all Year 5’s to recap and consolidate a few different topics taught this term. I have attached video links and worksheets for children to access and complete; these can be done in homework books.

We celebrated both Black History Month and National Poetry Week by creating this fantastic poem.
We enjoyed outdoor classroom day, we played in the newly fallen leaves, used natural materials to make art and produced some leaf prints.
Year 5 had an exciting morning during their chicken wire sculpture workshop.
We have produced fantastic work this week as embark on various topics and subjects.

Children Year 5 world as a class to name and order the planets in our solar system.
One of our pupils was caught reading Roald Dahl to celebrate Roald Dahl week.
We have had a fantastic start to Year 5. Children have been showing fantastic effort.
