Welcome Message & Our School Video

Welcome Message & Our School Video

Dear Parents and Visitors,

On behalf of the governors, staff and pupils I would like to welcome you to Carlton Junior and Infant School.

Our website aims to give you an insight into all that we do and will hopefully allow you to discover key aspects of our school. It provides us with a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the life and achievements of our children as well as the chance to communicate vital information regularly and effectively.

Carlton Junior and Infant School is a mixed one form entry mainstream school and is not affiliated to any particular religious group. We celebrate diversity and ensure equality at all levels. We aim to create a very supportive and caring environment where each child can develop the confidence to realise their ambitions, achieve their potential best and realise the endless opportunities as future citizens of the 21st century.

From Reception through to Year 6 we strive for success and aim to develop a love for lifelong learning. We take a rounded approach to our children’s education and work tirelessly on equipping them with core skills in reading, writing, spoken language and maths. Our talented staff use their expertise and experience to extend the opportunities for our children both in the classrooms and in a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, visits and activities. Our classrooms are vibrant and welcoming, full of creativity and learning, making Carlton a special place indeed for all children. We actively encourage our children to take learning beyond the classroom and use their own initiative.

We are a learning community, committed to high educational standards and good discipline. It is really important that our children enjoy learning and feel secure throughout their time with us.

The positive support of our governors, parents and the wider community is very important to us and helps us to drive our vision. We aim to maintain a transparent and welcoming environment where we can work in partnership for the benefit of all our pupils.

If you would like to know more about our school, you are very welcome to come and visit us.

Best wishes

Ms Rizwana Mahmood-Ahmed
