The Published Admission Number (PAN) is the maximum number of children Kirklees proposes to admit.  Normally, children will not be refused until that number is reached.

If your child was born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020, then they will start school in September 2024.  Please apply online at http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/beta/admissions/apply-primary-school-place.aspx between 1 September 2023 and 15 January 2024.

Guidance for applying for a Reception place can be found by clicking this link to the local authority website here.

Appeals

If you are refused a place at our school or you are not happy with the school that admissions have allocated your child then you have the right to appeal.

When appealing it is important for you to stay within any timetable given for your appeal process. You must state all the information on which your appeal is based in your written statement of appeal. If you miss the last date to ask for an appeal it may result in a delay in hearing your appeal.

After submitting your appeal, the clerk of the appeal panel will write to you about the appeal hearing and all the procedures will be explained. An independent appeal panel hears appeals. You must also inform the appeals panel if you intend to call any witnesses or be represented at the appeal hearing.
